Dan Nuhn Memorial Scholarship
Purpose – This scholarship is to be awarded to a graduating senor of Westbrook High School who is furthering his/her education in the area of art.
Criteria for Selection –
- The candidate must intend to pursue a higher education in the arts.
- The candidate must show proficiency for one or more artistic interests.
Scholarship Board – This award is at the decision of the Chairperson of the WHS Art Department, who must confirm his or her decision with the principal.
Procedure to Apply –
- The candidate must complete a “Westbrook Foundation Application”.
- The candidate’s official transcript needs to be attached.
Notification – A formal presentation of the scholarship will be given to the chosen candidate at graduation. An alternate and second are chosen, but not announced, in the event that the principle recipient does not enter post-graduate studies.
Award – An award in the amount of $500 will be awarded to the candidate at graduation. In the event of insufficient funds, the scholarship will not be given until the funds have been raised.
Deadline - Applications are due in the Westbrook High School Guidance Office on Monday, May 2, 2011 by 2:30 PM.
