Westbrook Foundation Awards $ 207,650 in Scholarships to Members of the Class of 2022

In June, the Westbrook Foundation awarded scholarships totaling $207,650 to the town’s graduating high school seniors to support their post-secondary educational pursuits. The Foundation also awarded $8,000 in scholarships to Westbrook residents currently enrolled in college and graduate programs and administered $5,000 in scholarships for the Westbrook Education Association.

“Awarding scholarships to our town’s young people is one of the most joyful tasks we Foundation Board members engage in each year,” said Westbrook Foundation Scholarship Chair Joan Angelini. “This year we were able to increase our giving to ensure that we are helping to shoulder the ever-increasing burden of higher education debt on the town’s families. We are so proud to be able to support Westbrook’s youth as they embark on their next chapter.”

The following members of the Westbrook High School Class of 2022 received the Foundation’s most competitive scholarships, totaling $201,000:
